Dnipropetrovsk region – is one of the main labor markets in Ukraine, where 1.5 mln people (8.6% out of the total number of Ukraine) of economically active population are concentrated.

The region is one of the best among the regions in terms of working-age population employment – 70%. The average salary is growing by about 10% annually and was $517 in 2021.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine in February 2022, Dnipropetrovsk region has become a huge center for the provision of assistance to IDPs, the relocation of enterprises and higher education and research institutions from the southeast of Ukraine.

More than 300,000 internally displaced persons are registered in Dnipropetrovsk region, of which 52% are of working age. The largest number of immigrants are in the cities of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih.
